在讀guston的poor richard的文,發現有個george grosz有份在1932-33在LA搞本漫畫,可能對guston後來產生這個系列有影響.由於提到一些針對希特勒的畫等,這德國的關聯使我想那該就是我們認識的那個(那時仍未放棄政治的)德國的畫家grosz,其中又提到其中一個Hirschfeld的畫作,我差一點就想再跳到去相信這就是Grosz很熟的John Heartfield,但heartfield本名是Herzfeld,不過這一步走來,Guston跟我現最有興趣的政治藝術的lineage,似更有跡可尋.這樣來進一步欣賞guston,又更是使我興奮期待.
